Job Description
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is seeking highly experienced finance professionals for two (2) General Manager Finance positions through their latest job advertisement. These exciting career opportunities are based in Lahore, within the PCB Finance Department. The General Manager Finance will play a crucial role in supporting the organization’s financial operations, encompassing budgeting, financial reporting, compliance, audits, investment management, and strategic planning. The ideal candidate will possess professional accounting qualifications such as CA, CPA, ICAEW, ACCA, or other recognized certifications, coupled with a minimum of five years of relevant professional experience. This role requires strong financial management and budgeting skills, knowledge of IFRS and PPRA rules, and excellent leadership abilities. The selected individuals will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), providing vital financial insights to guide strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities
- Managing day-to-day operations of PCB’s Finance Department
- Preparing periodic financial statements and reports for management and stakeholders
- Developing and managing annual budgets and financial forecasts
- Monitoring organizational performance against budget targets
- Updating and implementing financial policies and procedures
- Managing investment strategies according to approved board policies
- Developing financial facilities and support systems
- Analyzing financial performance and providing insights for decision-making
- Overseeing organizational cash flow and liquidity
- Managing banking relationships
- Evaluating and improving financial management systems and processes
- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations, laws, and audit requirements
- Coordinating with internal and external auditors
- Collaborating with different departments regarding financial matters
- Performing additional duties assigned by the Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Requirements & Qualifications
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess a professional accounting qualification such as CA, CPA, ICAEW, ACCA, or other recognized accounting professional certifications.
- Experience Requirement: Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in finance and accounting.
- Competency Requirements: Applicants should have strong financial management and budgeting skills, knowledge of IFRS, PPRA rules, and financial regulations, leadership and team management abilities, and strong analytical and strategic decision-making skills.
