Job Description
The Azad Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly Secretariat has announced new employment opportunities for the positions of Assistant (BPS-16) and Junior Clerk (BPS-11). These ad-hoc/temporary appointments are for a period of six months. Applications are invited from State Subjects of Jammu & Kashmir, including refugees settled in Pakistan and 1989 migrants. Candidates with a graduate qualification, relevant typing skills, and computer knowledge are encouraged to apply. There is one vacancy for an Assistant and one for a Junior Clerk, both under Open Merit quota. The age limit is up to 35 years, relaxable up to 41 years. The last date to apply is June 10, 2026, and interviews/tests are scheduled for June 12, 2026, at the MLA Hostel State Guest House in Muzaffarabad. This is an excellent opportunity to work within the government sector in Azad Jammu & Kashmir.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Qualification: Graduate (Second Division) from a recognized university for both Assistant and Junior Clerk positions.
- Preferred skills for Assistant: Word Processing skills, Typing knowledge.
- Typing requirement for Junior Clerk: Typing speed of 30 words per minute in English or Urdu; proficiency in both English and Urdu typing will be preferred.
- Age Limit: 18 to 35 Years (relaxable up to 41 years as per Government Notification No. Services (Rules A-4(49)2016 Part-7 dated 31 December 2025).
