Job Description

The National Center for Nanoscience & Nanotechnology (NCNN), a national research initiative established by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and the Planning Commission, Government of Pakistan, is inviting applications for various PSDP-funded positions. These opportunities are hosted at the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) and span across the NCNN Secretariat and its Functional Nanomaterials Laboratory. Roles include administrative, technical, research, and academic student positions.   • Vacant Positions & Eligibility Criteria:
  • A. National Center for Nanoscience & Nanotechnology (NCNN) Secretariat
  • 1. Program Manager (PPS-9) - 01 Position
  • Master’s degree in science or engineering with a minimum of 02 years’ relevant experience in managing Science & Technology related projects, OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in science & engineering with a minimum of 03 years’ relevant experience.
  • 2. Business Development Manager (PPS-8) - 01 Position
  • Management degree with a minimum of 02 years’ relevant experience in business development related to Science & Technology.
  • Applicants with IT experience may be preferred.
  • 3. Accounts Officer (PPS-7) - 01 Position
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration with at least 01-year relevant experience.
  • Working knowledge of SAP or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems required.
  • 4. Monitoring & Evaluation Officer (PPS-7) - 01 Position
  • Master’s degree in science or engineering with 01-year relevant experience, OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in science & engineering with a minimum of 02-years relevant experience.
  • B. Functional Nanomaterials Lab
  • 1. Research Assistant (PPS-6) - 04 Positions
  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, nanoscience & nanotechnology, or related disciplines.
  • At least 01-year experience in the use of nanomaterials for electrocatalysis, energy conversion and storage, electrochemical sensing and biosensing, or water treatment.
  • 2. Electronic Technician (PPS-6) - 01 Position
  • Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering.
  • At least 01 year of experience in handling scientific equipment related to characterization of materials.
  • 3. PhD Students - 04 Positions
  • PhD students already enrolled in relevant program(s) at LUMS.
  • 4. MS Students - 04 Positions
  • MS students already enrolled in relevant program(s) at LUMS.
