The Government of Punjab, under the leadership of Maryam Nawaz, has launched the CM Punjab Sasta Petrol Program 2026, an impactful relief initiative designed to support transporters and provide free travel facilities to the public. Under this program, registered goods transport vehicles are eligible to receive monthly fuel subsidies of up to PKR 70,000. Large trucks will benefit from a higher subsidy of PKR 80,000 per month, while public transport operators, including buses, will receive up to PKR 100,000 monthly, aiming to maintain affordable fares and improve service quality. Beyond fuel subsidies, the program also offers completely free travel on key public transportation services such as the Lahore Metro Bus, Orange Line Metro Train, Speedo Bus Service, and electric buses. This extensive public relief program is set to benefit over 2 million passengers daily across Punjab and aims to stabilize the logistics sector by reducing fuel costs. The program is managed by the Government of Punjab, with registrations for transporters ongoing. The last date to apply has not yet been announced.
