Job Description

The Human Rights Department, Government of Sindh, is seeking a highly qualified professional for the position of Communication Specialist (Environment and Climate) to work in the Treaty Implementation Cell (TIC). This contract-based role, falling under the Management Position Scale (MP-III), is open to candidates holding Sindh domicile. The successful applicant will be based in Karachi, Sindh. This unique opportunity calls for individuals with extensive experience in environmental science, climate change, and UN environmental conventions. The initial appointment will be for a period of two years, with the potential for extension based on satisfactory performance. There is one (01) vacancy for this position. The pay package will be as determined by the Finance Department under the revised Management Position Scales.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Experience certificates.
  • For Qualification & Experience:
  • Option 1: Ph.D. in Environmental Science with a minimum of 04 years of professional experience in the relevant field.
  • OR Option 2: Master’s Degree in Environmental Science with a minimum of 08 years of experience dealing with environmental and climate change issues.
  • Additional Requirements:
  • Demonstrable experience of working on United Nations Environmental and Climate Change Conventions.
  • Excellent research, documentation, and report-writing skills.
  • Experience in preparing reports on UN conventions will be considered an added advantage.
  • Domicile: Sindh Province.
  • Maximum Age: 62 Years.
