Job Description

Pakistan Railways, under its Directorate of Land Management Headquarters Office Lahore, has announced a range of contract-based career opportunities for qualified and experienced Pakistani nationals. These vacancies, published in May 2026, include positions such as Managers, Assistant Managers, GIS Experts, Land Inspectors, Legal Assistants, Contract Assistants, and Anti-Encroachment staff. Requirements & Qualifications

  • Interested candidates must apply online through the 'Career Updates Tab' on the official Pakistan Railways website and also submit a hard copy application.
  • Download the application form and submit it along with educational documents, experience certificates, CNIC copy, domicile, recent photographs, and a Postal Order worth Rs.1500/- for each application.
  • Hard copy applications should be sent to: Chief Personnel Officer, Pakistan Railways Headquarters Office, Empress Road, Lahore.
  • The Last Date to Apply is 10 June 2026.
  • Eligibility will be determined based on qualification, written test performance (70% weightage), and interview performance (30% weightage).
  • Government employees and current Railway employees must apply through the proper channel with a No Objection Certificate (NOC).
  • Incomplete applications or applications with incorrect information will be rejected.
  • Fake or bogus documents will lead to cancellation of candidature and legal action.
  • Selected candidates may undergo training at Pakistan Railways Academy Walton or the Land Directorate.
  • Selected candidates can be posted anywhere within the Pakistan Railways system.
  • No TA/DA will be admissible for test/interview.
  • Selected candidates must pass a prescribed medical examination.
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.
  • No application will be entertained without the postal order processing fee.
  • Age Limit: Generally 22 to 62 Years (specific roles have different age limits, e.g., 32-62 for Managers, 22-62 for Assistant Manager Prevention, 26-62 for Assistant Manager Commercial/Contract, 28-62 for Land Inspector, 25-62 for GIS Supervisor/Assistant Developer/Inspector Licensing/Contract Assistant/Legal Assistant, 32-62 for Inspector Land Revenue, 30-62 for Inspector Anti Encroachment).
  • Specific Qualifications and Experience for each position:
  • Manager Property and Land (01 vacancy): Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent, PEC Registration required, 05 years relevant experience in land management.
  • Manager Legal (01 vacancy): LLB / MBA / relevant degree, 05 years post-qualification experience.
  • Manager Contract (01 vacancy): MBA (Marketing/Finance) or LLM, 05 years experience in Contract Management.
  • Manager Geographical Information System (GIS) (01 vacancy): Master Degree in GIS or relevant qualification, Minimum 16 years education, 05 to 08 years relevant experience.
  • Manager Land Revenue (01 vacancy): BA/BSc, Retired Deputy Director / Assistant Director / Tehsildar Revenue, Minimum 15 years service in Provincial Revenue Department.
  • Manager Land Commercial (01 vacancy): Bachelor Degree in Urban Planning / City & Regional Planning / MBA Marketing or Finance, 05 years relevant experience.
  • Manager Licensing (01 vacancy): Urban Planning / City & Regional Planning / MBA Marketing or relevant degree, 05 years relevant experience.
  • Assistant Manager Prevention (01 vacancy): Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering, PEC Registration required.
  • Assistant Manager Commercial (07 vacancies): BBA Marketing or relevant qualification, 03 years marketing experience preferably in real estate & land management.

  • Land Inspector (04 vacancies): 03 Years DAE Civil, 08 years relevant experience.
  • GIS Supervisor (03 vacancies): Bachelor/Master Degree in GIS, 03 to 05 years GIS experience including mapping, geo-referencing, cartography, spatial analysis, and geo database management.
  • Assistant Developer GIS (01 vacancy): Bachelor/Master Degree in GIS, 03 to 05 years relevant experience.
  • Inspector Land Revenue (07 vacancies): BA/BSc, Retired Tehsildar / Naib Tehsildar / Qanoongo Revenue, Minimum 10 years service in Provincial Revenue Department.
  • Inspector Anti Encroachment (07 vacancies): BA/BSc, Ex-Army Officer up to the rank of Subedar Major or Retired Assistant Director / Anti-Encroachment Cell from District Government.
  • Inspector Licensing (07 vacancies): BBA Marketing or relevant qualification, 03 years experience preferably in real estate & land management.
  • Contract Assistant (07 vacancies): BBA Marketing/Finance, 03 years relevant experience.
  • Legal Assistant (07 vacancies): LLB Degree, 03 years post qualification experience.
