The National Education Foundation (NEF), operating under the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, has announced the Merit Award 2026. Requirements & Qualifications

  • The applicant must be a child of a serving, retired, or deceased Federal Government teacher (ICT).
  • Must have secured admission on merit in a degree program at any HEC-recognized public sector college or university.
  • Admission must be fresh. Students already enrolled in previous sessions are not eligible.
  • Preference will be given to students admitted in public sector medical and engineering colleges.
  • The applicant must have obtained at least 75 percent marks in the intermediate examination from a recognized board.
  • Must provide a college or university admission/acceptance letter along with the original fee submission slip.
  • Only one child of a serving teacher and up to two children of a retired or deceased teacher are eligible for the award.
  • Students enrolled in distance learning programs or affiliated colleges are not eligible.
  • Candidates studying on a self-finance basis are not eligible.
  • Students already receiving any other scholarship or financial grant are not eligible to apply.
  • Download the application form from the official NEF website: www.nef.gov.pk or collect it from the NEF office at Taleemi Chowk, G-8/4, Islamabad, between 09:00 AM to 01:00 PM.
  • Submit the completed application form along with the following documents:
  • Copy of CNIC or B-Form
  • Academic certificates and transcripts
  • Admission letter from college/university
  • Original fee deposit slip
  • Parent’s service proof (serving/retired/deceased teacher)
  • Recent passport-size photographs
  • Complete application forms must be submitted within 30 days of the publication of this advertisement.
  • Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
